Thank you for your financial contributions to Impact Christian Fellowship in 2016. Your obedience to the Lord, and your consistent generosity, helped make it possible for us to continue the work of our growing community of believers, who are being fitted together in relationship and ministry, here at Impact. We take seriously the responsibility to be good stewards of all the tithes and offerings given to Impact. We believe every contribution belongs to the Lord, and we are committed to using these funds to advance the Kingdom of God in a variety of ways. And by God’s grace and provision, we continue to operate debt-free.
In 2016, the tithes and offerings given to Impact enabled us to take care of all the basic necessities required to keep our facilities operational and accessible. Early in the year, we completed a comprehensive renovation of our original building, and the changes enhanced the functionality of our Chapel, Kitchen and Fellowship Hall. It also resulted in an expanded, improved church office area and an updated audio-visual studio. We also made an insurance claim that enabled us to re-roof all of our buildings after they were damaged by two unusual hailstorms in May and June.
The scope of our ministry reaches well beyond the walls of Impact. Your faithful contributions enabled us to continue supporting the missionary work of Peter & Teresa Cawthon in Oaxaca, Mexico; Samuel Chaco and the work of Treasure Commission in India and Nepal; Jack & Carol Rothenflue’s global pastoral ministry and leadership at Commission To Every Nation (CTEN); and Randy Clark’s international ministry efforts called Global Awakening. In 2016, we also continued to support outreach ministries to women in Texas prisons, as well as Pablo Rosales’ street ministry to the homeless in downtown San Antonio.
Locally, we were able to provide benevolence to many people in our fellowship as those needs arose, and we also made several one-time gifts for various local mission endeavors. The work of our Healing Rooms ministry continued to flourish, and many lives were touched by God’s restoring presence throughout the year. On a monthly basis, we continued sowing into the Kerr Ministerial Alliance, Christian Assistance Ministries (CAM), the Christian Women’s Job Corps, and The Pregnancy Resource Center. We also continue to be blessed by our partnership with Reuben and Janie’s Saravia’s ministry, Sozo Home.
We enter 2017 with grateful hearts and a tremendous sense of expectancy. On January 1st, we added Brent Davis to our pastoral staff. Brent will be working with Kids Church, and he will expand the ministry we provide to children and families. In addition to another year of outstanding discipleship opportunities through teachings in our Impact Groups, we will also be launching Impact Home Groups early in 2017. These new groups will be relationally based, and they will meet in homes for worship and prayer. We are also planning to send another team to be part of missions.me’s 1Nation1Day trip to Nicaragua in July 2017.
In 2017, we continue to believe God will inhabit us to such an extent that we will significantly impact the Hill Country with the love of Jesus Christ. We believe there is a fresh move of God taking place. Let’s live for Christ in our daily lives, and let’s keep in step with the Holy Spirit. Make being a part of our weekend services a priority. We are so blessed by God’s presence in our midst, and we rejoice in what He is doing through our lives. Amazing things happen each weekend as we spur one on to love and good deeds.
