Thank you for your financial contributions to Impact Christian Fellowship in 2018.
Your faith and your obedience to the Lord related to giving is one of the reasons we have been able to continue making an impact in our community and beyond. Last August, we celebrated the 20th year of our fellowship, and the consistent generosity of so many in the Impact family helped make the growth of this beautiful work possible. We believe every contribution belongs to the Lord, and we are committed to using these funds to advance the God’s Kingdom in a variety of ways. We take seriously the responsibility to be good stewards of all the funds given to Impact, and by God’s grace we have continued to operate debt-free.
Once again, your tithes and offerings given to Impact enabled us to take care of all the necessities required to keep our staff and facilities operational and accessible. We were able to provide benevolence to many people in our fellowship as those needs arose, and we also made several one-time gifts for various needs and into local mission endeavors. The work of our Healing Rooms ministries continued to flourish, and many lives were touched by God’s restoring presence throughout the year. In May, we completed the upgrade of our Sanctuary lighting. In June, we hosted our second GameChangers VBS, and this year almost 400 children attended! Then in November, in conjunction with Trinity Baptist Church and several local school districts, we held our second annual First Blessing event, and 175 children picked out a new pair of shoes and socks! In 2019, we will partner with Kerrville Church of Christ and Kerrville’s Habitat for Humanity to build a home.
In August, we added Garrett Whitten to our staff as our Youth Pastor. Garrett, and his wife Sara, had been serving at Impact in a variety of ways (Garrett on the worship team; Sara with VBS, ministry teams and our 1Nation1Day teams; and both of them in Kids Leadership Academy). We are excited about being able to have fresh, focused, pastoral attention for our youth and their parents.
As we begin 2019, we are also excited to add Laurie Heisinger as our new Administrative Assistant and Bryson Barnet as our Worship & Facilities Coordinator. Laurie and Bryson have served faithfully among us for many years, and we know they will help us increase and build the ministry at Impact.
The scope of our ministry reaches well beyond the walls of Impact. Every month we sowed locally into Christian Assistance Ministries, Christian Women’s Job Corps, The Pregnancy Resource Center, and we were blessed to continue partnering with Reuben & Janie Saravia’s ministry, Sozo Home. Last Fall, we helped launch the 12-week “Raising Highly Capable Kids” program at Starkey Elementary (and Sozo Home cooked and served the meals for all the families participating each week!) We contributed monthly to the worldwide ministry of missions.me and Global Awakening, as well as to the missionary work of Peter & Teresa Cawthon in Oaxaca, Mexico; Samuel Chaco and the work of Treasure Commission in India and Nepal; and Jack & Carol Rothenflue’s leadership at Commission To Every Nation. We also supported outreach ministries to women in Texas prisons, as well as Pablo Rosales’ street ministry to the homeless in downtown San Antonio. In June 2019, Patrick & Anna Mesa will lead another Impact team joining mission.me’s 1Nation1Day Peru outreach.
From youngest to oldest, God is calling us to move with singleness of heart and action. The best is yet to come! We each have our part to play, and as we live for Christ and keep in step with the Holy Spirit each day, God will continue to use us as salt and light to impact the Hill Country and beyond with the love of Jesus. Amazing things are happening each weekend as we gather for worship, as well as in our groups that meet during the week. Stay connected in 2019, and thanks again for being a part of making an impact at Impact.
For the Core Leadership Team,
David Danielson, Senior Pastor
