Garrett Whitten shares his message titled, “Supporting the Structure”
Greetings in the beautiful and powerful name of Jesus!
Last weekend, we were able to meet together at Impact as well as launch our live-stream of the entire Sunday morning service. However, since then, the COVID-19 situation continues to develop in ways that now require us to make a proactive decision. The safety and health of all five generations of our fellowship is just too important not to exercise an over-abundance of caution.
In light of President Trump’s “15 Days to Slow the Spread” request, we have decided to CANCEL all scheduled gatherings through the end of March.
That means we will not have weekend worship services, Impact groups, Youth group, KLA, Celebrate Recovery, Healing Rooms, Midweek Refreshing, or any other gatherings.
We will stay up-to-date with what is happening in our community and in the nation, and our decision about what we will do starting in April 2020 will be made and announced at a later date.
In the meantime, here’s what we will be doing:
• our Sunday morning worship service will be available on-line at impactkerr.com
• we will live-stream the Midweek Refreshing at 12 noon on Wednesdays (if you miss either one, they are available at: impactkerr.com/resources/livestream)
• we will keep posting news, updates, and prayer requests in a variety of ways
• when appropriate, we will send out another all-Impact mailer with information and details
We also want to increase our efforts to be the Church by identifying those among us who need special help during this unusual time – as well as those who are willing to be that special help.
Since this virus is especially dangerous for senior citizens, and because that group is being asked to self-quarantine as much as possible, if you are a senior citizen who does not have family in the area who regularly checks on you, please contact the Impact office as soon as possible.
Likewise, if you are available to be those hands and feet to someone during this season, please contact the Impact office as soon as possible and we will get you connected with someone who needs to be checked on.
Across the board, let’s all go the extra mile in checking on one another with phone calls, texts, and emails. If the Holy Spirit brings someone to mind, do something about it. Make contact with them.
Together, as we keep our hearts open and turned to the Lord faithfully in prayer, He will work through us to be salt and light in our community. We are called to use our freedom to serve one another in love, and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
God has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. He is able to work all things out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He can even take what was meant for evil, turn it, and use it for our good. He is faithful, and He will do it.
