Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues, put on love which binds them all together in perfect unityColossians 3:12-14
God want us to be like Him, so He faithfully clothes us with His qualities in order to better connect us to His heart and His responses. Every time we choose love, it binds us to God, to His character, and to His ways.
