‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,’ say the Lord Almighty. Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.2 Corinthians 6:18-7:1
Perfecting holiness requires us to embrace our place in God’s family, and to engage in a personal relationship with God. It also means setting aside things in our lives that compromise honoring God in all our ways. Perfecting holiness is to be a constant pursuit and a regular work-in-progress in our daily lives.
