Sift and shift

And let yourself be known 

Tugged back and forth 

Strained and picked over 

Examined with scrupulous care 

And loved. Shown grace. Accepted. 



Laugh out a cry 

And know you are not alone 

Unkempt and unkept 

Frayed and snagged again 

Till your nerves are shown raw 

And still loved. Shown grace. Accepted. 



Be bare faced 

And go known to the throne 

Stumbling and hesitant 

Wearied and well wary 

Shake your shambly facades

Dance and rest 

And know the rhythm’s tone 

Constant and joyful 

Genuine and unrestrained 

Take your place in the rhythm running 

And sing loved. Shown grace. Accepted.
