You call me courageous
When I stand in Your shadow,

When I let go of shame.

You are my strength in the battle
You are my strength on my knees
You are the Wind in my spirit
And the Heart in my pleas.

You call me courageous
When I stand in Your presence,

When I lift up my voice,

You call me courageous
When I weep in sadness,

You call me courageous
When love is my choice.

You are my strength in the battle

When I’m fearful,

You call me courageous
When I choose to obey,

You call me courageous
When I trust in Your mercy,

You call me courageous
When You lead the way.

You are the light in my darkness
You are the joy in my pain
You are the truth in my wonder
And the reason I pray.

And yet,
You call me courageous.
